Setting up a Teams competition is the same as an individual competition, except for the type of the competition you would need to select one that allows 2+ players.
Please note: we advise against using divisions for team competitions
There are 2 ways of scoring team competitions -Team Scorecard and Individual Scorecard
Quick tips
Team competitions where the team uses a single scorecard (e.g. Foursomes, Ambrose)
Only 1 scorecard should be used per team
Registration of players and putting them into Teams should be done prior to the competition day.
Restrict players to pre-registered players only.
Cards should be pre-generated from the competition pre-generate cards area for the system to calculate the correct team handicap.
Entry fee should include green fee in the comp set up so the system won't attach a non-affiliated green fee to each cards.
For multi-round competitions, players should have the same team throughout. Unteaming them after each round will show the results for the new team
Team competitions where each member of the team has their own individual scorecard, but both scores form together a team score (e.g. 4BBB)
Individual scorecards can be used for this competition
You may or may not pre-register the players
You may or may not pre-print the cards as members can have the option to print their individual cards and decide whether they want to join the competition depending on your competition set up.
If players are not teamed prior to the comp, the players themselves can choose their partner or team when returning the cards.
Once players have been registered, you may team them depending on the type of competition you have set. With this example, a team of 4 players is needed for the competition
How to Team Players
Click "Player Registration"
Across the player’s name there is ‘Remove’ and ‘Team’. Click on ‘Team’
Once you have clicked on ‘Team’, the system will ask you to Select a player you want Player1 to be teamed with.
Under the "Team" section at the bottom of the page, there will be 2 players teamed
Add Player 3 by clicking ‘Team’ next to the players name and select the team you want Player 3 to be in.
You can do the same with Player 4. Once 4 players have been teamed, you may edit the team’s name or unteam them if you want to change the members of the team.
