In DotGolf, managing and viewing competition results is straightforward and efficient.

After a competition concludes, results are entered into the system, which automatically updates and calculates scores based on the predefined rules and formats.

Team Competition Results

Some competitions are set up to have 2, 3 or 4 players. The set up would depend whether these competition type with the correct number of players is available.

Ambrose:

  • Only team of 4 is in the set up
  • Teams can be grouped into 2, 3 or 4 and results will still show based on the team

Foursomes:

  • Only 2 players in a team is available

4BBB:

  • 2 or 4 players available
  • If the club wanted to have different number of players in 1 team, it needs to be set up to 4 so they can team them into 2, 3 or 4
  • Results will show accordingly

Combined

  • This comp should need the number of players specified in the set up for the results to be generated. If it is set up for 4 players in a team, all 4 players need to have scores entered.

Best x of 4

  • The results will show depending on how many best x in chosen as type

For Example:

  • Best 2 of 4 stableford was set up and 2 players in a team, there will be results for this.
  • Best 3 of 4 stableford was setup and only 2 players in a team, no results for this as it requires minimum of 3 players.

If a club has a multi-round & multi-divisions competition and when they click "Accumulative" and try to get the "Overall Results" it is greyed out; this is due to the "Divisions are not frozen across multiple rounds" not being ticked in the Competition Setup.

However, this mean you will have incorrect results for the competition as the results will only give you the result for the first division the player went into; if they change divisions during the competition, the scores are NOT shown.
