When it comes to expanding your membership options, creating a new membership category can be a great way to attract a wider range of individuals or groups.

A new membership category allows you to tailor your offerings to specific demographics, interests, or needs.

Identify the Target Audience: Determine who the new membership category is intended for. Consider their needs, interests, and what benefits they would value the most.

Define Membership Benefits: Decide on the specific benefits and privileges that members in this category will receive. This could include exclusive access to certain facilities, discounts on services, or specialized resources.

Set Membership Fees: Determine the appropriate membership fees for this category. Consider factors such as the value of the benefits provided, the cost of providing those benefits, and the pricing strategy of similar organizations.

1. Select "New Category"

2. Enter in the following details for your new category:

  • Name: For example, Full Playing Men
  • Description
  • Default Golf NZ Category: This will default to Club Member. Use the dropdown to change this if required:

    • Summer
  • Subs Billing Method: This option is only available for clubs with the DotGolf Subscription Module.
  • Full Playing Category
  • Include Complimentary Carts
  • Membership Type: 18 or 9 Holes
  • Tags

3. If the club has a Club Website through DotGolf with Online Payments enabled, select whether or not Online Signups with Payment is allowed.

Enter in an Upfront Amount.

4. You can also insert an Additional Invoice Message that will be on the invoice that is emailed to the member.

5. If you would like to have the Tee Sheet release early for this category, enter in the amount of hours here:

6. Select Save Changes to create the new category

7. Once the changes have been saved, the club will need to create any category limits. For more information on this, please refer to the following article:
