Objective: To show the club on how to move playing member to non-playing member and vice versa in DotGolf. Please note the Non-playing is only available for clubs who have DotGolf Subscription and Membership System.
Playing members are members who have scoring history which mean they play golf and return their scores to have handicap index. The default Golf NZ category for this is a Club member, hence, the club will be charged for Levies for these members.
Non-playing members are members who are also called Social members who do not play golf, hence no scores nor scoring history, and only using the club's facilities. The default Golf NZ category for this is a non-playing member, hence, the club won't be charged for levies for these members.
Usually members often wants to change membership type from playing to non-playing. You can do this by
1. Resign the playing membership (this is the membership with scores/scoring history)
Search for the member > Go to Membership Tab > Click Resign > Tick the Resign tick box > Save Changes
2. Once this member is resigned, create a new member
Go to Members tab > Click New Member
Fill in the necessary information and select the Non-playing category and the club can re-assign the same membership number under the New Membership No > Submit
You could do the other way around if the member decides to change from non-playing to playing membership again. If member has an existing non-playing/playing membership in the system already, the club would just need to resign the non-playing membership and reinstate the playing membership (whichever is applicable)
